Although all Sutton Special Risk insurance
products are applicable worldwide, we have designed
a flexible and cost effective package incorporating
our most popular benefits for Canadians planning to
work out of the country for an extended period of time.
The “PASSPORT” Plan provides a suite of
products designed to respond to the following exposures:
- Hospital and medical treatment
- Emergency medical evacuation
- Injury or sickness that causes temporary and/or
permanent inability to work
- Accidental death or dismemberment
Major Medical, Disability and AD&D are packaged
together with flexible benefit limits and offer preferred
pricing with reduced underwriting when minimum benefit
levels are met.
The plan includes $1 million of Major Medical coverage,
which can accommodate Canadians who have maintained
their Provincial Government Healthcare (PGHP) coverage,
or it can be written from first dollar for Canadians
who have lost Provincial coverage due to long term posting
outside of Canada. Major Medical coverage can also be
extended to accompanying dependents of the Insured Person,
who hold Canadian Citizenship.
Disability coverage includes both Temporary Total Disability
(TTD) coverage which can be written up to a maximum
of $15,000 per month, and a Lump Sum benefit payment
for Permanent Total Disability (PTD), to a combined
maximum of $3,000,000.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment offers Principal
Lump Sum benefits up to $1,000,000 for covered losses.
One of the most distinct features of this plan is that
most locations include passive War Risk coverage, in
addition to 24-hour coverage, without a surcharge. The
plan can also be written as a War Risk Only policy to
supplement existing policies with war risk exclusions.
